Mrs. Andrea Veilleux was elected to the Stratford Board of Education in November 2011.  Originally from Vermont, Mrs. Veilleux attended Castleton State College.  She has a financial background having worked as a stockbroker for 9 years.  She began working at a thrift savings bank - Claremont Savings Bank, in New Hampshire before moving to work for a discount brokerage firm in Columbia, South Carolina.  Prior to having children, Mrs. Veilleux was working for Ameritrade (TD Waterhourse) in Stamford and Greenwich, Connecticut.

Mrs. Veilleux moved to Stratford in 1998, and has lived in Lordship for 13 years.  She has been married to her husband, Dennis, for 19 years and they have two children.  Mrs. Veilleux is an active community volunteer.  She teaches third grade religion class at Our Lady of Peace, chaired St. James Cub Scout Pack 75, and has served as secretary and Co-President of Stratford Academy's PTSA.

Mrs. Veilleux has been a advocate for the Stratford public education system as a speaker at many of the Council and Boards' public forums.  Prior to being elected to the Board of Education, Mrs. Veilleux served on the Long Range Facilities Planning Committee.
