Board Member (2009-2013) 

Elected in November 2009, Joseph Crudo brings to the Stratford Board of Education over thirty one years of business experience. 

Mr. Crudo presently chairs the Board's Athletic Program Review Committee and the School Plant/Planning Committee.  In addition, he also serves on the Chairmen's Committee, Curriculum Committee, Financial Review and Finance Committee, Personnel Committee, Negotiating Committee, Recreation Committee, Liaison Committee, and Town Building Needs Committee.

Joe Crudo served previously on the Stratford Board of Education from 1999 to 2003, and was Councilman-At-Large and Town Council chairman 2003-2005.  In addition, he has served on the Board of Zoning Appeals, Public Safety Committee, Parks and Recreation Committee, and the Short Beach Commission.

Mr. Crudo has been married for over thirty four years, and has 2 children and 5 grand daughters.  He is a graduate of Stratford High School, and holds an Associate's and Bachelors degree from Fairfield University.  Mr. Crudo is retired from Sikorsky Aircraft where he worked for thirty two years as Production Manager.  Joe was recognized as Sikorsky Volunteer of the Year in 1995, and in 2004 he received the Tim Ramik award for outstanding Community Service from the Stratford Old Timers' Athletic Association.
