SPRING TIMELINES FOR JUNIORS
____Register for May and/or June SAT or SAT Subject Test or ACT for April or June.
____Ask your counselor about summer enrichment programs. (Also, available on Bunnell’s school counseling website).
____ Consider volunteering/community service project.
____Consider SAT Subject tests in the course you are taking this year.
____Complete your senior course selections, review graduation requirements/credits and discuss post-secondary plans with your counselor.
____ Develop a list of colleges which interest you and research the college websites for information and/or call the admissions office to request free information.
____Find out if there are special requirements for music, art or performing art majors.
____Make plans to visit colleges of interest.
____Narrow list of colleges to 6-8 schools which interest you and research the college website for information and/or call the admissions office to request free information..
____Visit colleges which interest you.
____File service academies pre-applications and ROTC scholarship applications.
____Make your counselor aware if you plan to play a sport in college. Review the NCAA eligibility requirements at www.ncaaeligibility center.org.
____Attend local college fairs to obtain admissions and program information.
____Identify 1 or 2 academic teachers whom you can ask for recommendations.
____Take May SAT or SAT Subject Tests.
____Review your college list.
____Develop an activity sheet.
____Begin work on college essay.
____Apply to summer enrichment programs.
____Take June SAT, ACT or SAT Subject Test.
____Continue the college search, and discuss with your counselor.
____If you don’t have a job, try volunteering in your career area.
____ Register online with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
