Nichols' students are participating in Six Flags' Read to Succeed reading incentive program. Students in grades K-6 who complete six hours of recreational reading can earn free tickets to the amusement park located in Agawam, MA.

Greg Tang recently visited Nichols Elementary. Each year he travels the country, giving hundreds of workshops and presentations for teachers and students spreading his formula for math success. We were fortunate to have him come to our school

Members of the Stratford High School Renovation Subcommittee dig some turf to start the renovation project on Friday.
Shiny shovels cut into the dirt in a field across the street from Stratford High School on a warm Friday morning. And with that, a project more than a decade in the making is ready to begin.


"The mission of Ben's Bells is to inspire, educate,and motivate people to realize the impact of intentional kindness, and to empower individuals to act according to that awareness, thereby strengthening ourselves, our relationships and our communities" (bensbells.org). Eli Whitney is registered as an official "Be Kind" school, as are many other schools within the district.
