Stratford Parents’ Place Gearing Up for Fall Parent/Child Activity Groups!
Stratford Parents’ Place will be offering fall registration for our Parent/Child Activity Groups. Families will engage in fun learning activities, arts/crafts, circle time with books and music, and snack. Parents will learn about child development and share their experiences with other parents. Cost per family is $25 for the entire session.
In person registration for Stratford families will be held at Stratford Parents’ Place located at Stratford Academy/Johnson House, 719 Birdseye Street, on Monday, September 9th, Tuesday, September 10th, and Wednesday, September 11th from 9:00AM – 12:00PM.
Fall session starts week of September 16th and runs through December 16th. Parents will register for one of the following classes based on their child’s age:
Mondays, 1-2 ½ year olds, 9:00-10:15 OR 10:30-11:45
Tuesdays, 2 ½ years and older, 9:00-10:15*
Wednesdays, 2 ½ years and older, 9:00-10:15*
*4/5 year olds who are not enrolled in preschool are eligible to attend
The Healing Library
The Stratford Library and Stratford Parents’ Place will be creating Healing Library kits that can be checked out to help families cope with traumatic circumstances. The first three will be on these themes:
- · Death of a Loved One
- · Death of a Pet
- · Alzheimer’s & Your Family
We will be creating 3-5 additional kits (depending on the cost) on themes that are relevant to the community. Please complete the survey below and select additional topics you would be interested in using.
