The artists at Johnson House (grade 2-6) celebrated the book, The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds in art class. They read positive messages about trying, not giving up, inspiring and encouraging others to do their best. As a collaborative school-wide art project, every artist designed their own dot showing their willingness to try and be creative! What a "PAW"sative way to kick off the school year! Go Bobcats!!!

Miss Turechek's 3rd graders celebrated the completion of their first writing unit at the "Starwriter's Cafe". Students read their personal narratives with classmates and staff while enjoying jazz music and hot chocolate. They wrote compliments to each other on Post-it's using the "Starwriter's Menu" of writing strategies as a guide. Click for photos...
Last week, JHS Nurse, Ms. Gabi Rosa, traveled with the International Medical Relief to assist with the Hurricane Dorian disaster relief efforts to provide medical care to Haitian refugees in Abaco. The team also assisted other marginalized people in that community for IV Rehydration, wound care, STI testing, pregnancy testing, and medication refills. We are very proud of her efforts!
