- B.S. Physical Education, Springfield College.
- M.S. Health Education, SCSU
Hello. I have been teaching in Stratford since 1996, beginning my career at Flood Middle School and coming over to Wooster in 2004. Prior to teaching in Stratford, I taught for two years at Holy Spirit Elementary School in Stamford. I am happy to be here at Wooster for the fact that I attended this school and it was my former Physical Education teacher that inspired me to pursue teaching.
I graduated with a Physical Education degree from Springfield College in 1993. I also received a Master's Degree in Health Education from Southern Connecticut State University in 2001.
I enjoy teaching Physical Education because of the nature of the activity. It is different from any other discipline in that my classroom can be an entire playing field or a section of the gymnasium. In the past, I have coached cheerleading at Stratford High School (1995-2001), softball at Stratford High School (JV 1997-1999), Track and Field at Flood (2000), and cheerleading at Flood (2000-2004). Though I am still certified to coach, currently I am not coaching a team.
I was born and raised in Stratford and continue to live here with my husband and two children.
CPR and First Aid Certified.
Red Cross Certified Lifeguard
B.S. Physical Education, C.C.S.U.
Health Education Certified
I started teaching in Stratford as a long term substitute in March of 2014, I was later hired as the full time Physical Education teacher at Wooster Middle school for the start of the 2014- 2015 School year.
The reason I decided to be a Physical Educator is because throughout my life physical activity has played a very major role. I participated in every sport I could, and enjoyed every minute of it. I am a second generation Physical Education teacher, my mother taught in the Naugatuck School Systems during her entire teaching career.
I graduated from C.C.S.U. in 2013. I have also worked at several overnight camps during the summers of 2007-present.
