Franklin Elementary Grade 6 student, Charlie Royster, has advocated for the continuation of the free breakfast and lunch program by speaking to the Connecticut State Legislature Appropriations Committee. She has inspired her fellow classmates to write thank you letters to the committee members in an effort to keep the budget proposal alive. This is Stratford Public School's Portrait of a Graduate in action, collaborators, engaged community members, communicators, and solution driven problem solvers! Thank you to Charlie, her classmates, Charlie's mom, Ivy, and the United Way for helping support not only our Franklin community but also all of Connecticut's public school students! We are so proud of our Franklin Falcons!
