Good morning, Franklin Falcons! 🦅Miss Owen here with our latest cereal updates! ❤️ For the PreK-2 competition, Grade 2 is still in a strong lead with 120 cereal boxes collected. 💪🏽 For the 3-6 competition, Grade 4 has grabbed the lead over Third Grade! Grade 4 has 36 boxes total, and the runner up is now Grade 5. It is still ANYONE’S popsicle party here upstairs! 🏆🤷🏼‍♀️ Let’s keep collecting, Franklin! We currently have 301 boxes collected. Last year at this time, we had 491! These boxes of cereal are going to help people in our community who could really use it! Let’s represent Franklin and Stratford STRONG! 🥇

HOT OFF THE PRESS 🔥 here are the standings for our first week of cereal collecting! For PreK-2, Grade 2 is in a strong first place to earn a popsicle party! And for 3-6, Grade 3 is in the lead, but it is still everyone’s chance to crush the competition! Today, we reviewed the importance of giving back to our community. Sterling House is so important to our wonderful town of Stratford, and we can’t wait to continue our collection until May 12th to support those in need! Keep the donations coming, Franklin Falcons! The NED Show is back! This time we will be discussing kindness. We have scheduled a virtual assembly for May 26th at 2:00pm. Grades PreK-6 are invited to attend. The Kindness Adventure is a live, 45-minute assembly for elementary schools. The performer will take a trip to Kenya with his initially skeptical sidekick, NED. Through storytelling, music, and interactive videos, everyone discovers that it’s the differences that make experiences and new friendships so great. The Kindness Adventure assembly supports our initiatives for developing a positive and caring school climate. Its proactive approach aims to prevent many forms of mistreatment, including bullying, by showcasing the sense of satisfaction that takes place when a child chooses to show kindness, respect, and acceptance. The Kindness Adventure assembly is brought to our school at a low cost because of the unique Pay-It Forward® program. After the assembly, students will have the opportunity to purchase beaded and carved jewelry and other hand-crafted items, made by artisans in Kenya. Summer Learning Academy Application (2022) The Summer Learning Academy’s goal will be to provide the needed extended learning time for students rising from grades K-6. This opportunity will give students an additional 28 hours of learning focused on Foundational Reading Skills (K-3)/Intensive Writing/Writing Strategies (3-6), Math Strategies (K-3)/Math Fluency (3-6), Social-Emotional Learning, and hands-on experiences in STEM. The Summer Learning Academy is a two-week in-person learning program. Participating students will be placed in one of the two sessions. 🐧🧡 Happy Jiji Day, Franklin! 🧩💙 Today marks the 25th Anniversary of ST Math and Jiji helping students solve math problems! 🎉 This week, we had an ST Marathon to see which class could solve the most 🧩 puzzles! Our top 3 classes were: 🥇-Mrs Sansone’s First Graders! They had a class average of 182 puzzles!! 🥈- Mrs. Quincy’s Third Graders! They had a class average of 91 puzzles! 🥉- Mrs. Lizotte’s Fourth Graders! They had a class average of 86 puzzles! Great job to all classes, keep on solving those puzzles! 💙🐧💚🧩🧡

Good Morning Parents, please bring your child to school with a water bottle. As the weather gets warmer, the children are going outside more. The water fountains are still unavailable for the children to use. We have filtered water for the children to use, if they bring a water container to refill. Cups are extremely limited at this time. Please assure your child is coming to school with a water container. Thank you

🥣Franklin School is holding a Cereal Drive to support Sterling House Community Center. We will line up all of the collected boxes to form a CEREAL DOMINO TRAIN! Last year we collected 1,465 cereal boxes. Let’s see if we can collect even more!! As we collect the Cereal Boxes, we will hold a competition for grades PreK-2 and 3-6 to see who can collect the most!
