Eli Whitney’s annual Literacy Night was a flurry of fun and learning, all centered around
Mr. Popper’s Penguins, our featured title for this year’s One School, One Book initiative. Our school was transformed into a penguin paradise, with students enjoying a variety of engaging activities including penguin relays, games, and themed crafts.
A special thank you goes to Mr. Ksepka our resident penguin expert, for sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm! The evening’s highlight, besides the crowd-favorite ice cream truck, was Mr. T’s unforgettable appearance in a full penguin costume as he braved the ice bucket challenge, much to the delight of students and families. It was a fabulous celebration of reading and community!
