Ms. Juanita Parade

On Monday, April 20th, Nichols celebrated volunteer appreciation day with a parade for our longest serving volunteer!

Ms. Juanita has been a volunteer at Nichols School for 15 years. She is a positive, hard-working, compassionate and creative volunteer-staff member at Nichols school.  She has helped make the Nichols Community a stronger and more peaceful place for the students and staff to thrive. She goes over and beyond her volunteer responsibilities every day.

Ms. Juanita meets with individual students throughout the school to help them with decoding, fluency, spelling and comprehension.  She meets with them one on one or in small groups giving them reading strategies.

Ms. Juanita also works on the basic essentials of copying, laminating, sorting, and stapling for a number of teachers at Nichols School, helping them immensely.  She provides counseling and mentoring to students that she has formed close bonds with.  Miss Juanita has such an impact that everyone from the youngest of the students to the eldest staff member knows Miss Juanita and values her impact each day.

She is known for her stories, calm demeanor, and caring approach with students. In her free time, she enjoys ballroom dancing and spending time with family.
