For your safety, and the safety of our students and staff, we kindly ask that you adhere to the following procedures:

Please DO NOT drop off students on Birdseye Street or on side streets; this is a safety concern!

Students Arriving by Car:

• Please do not drop your child off before 8:30 AM; staff is not on duty prior to this time.

• Both car lines enter behind the school off of Sedgewick Ave. (See map below)

• Please use:

  • Car Line 1 if your youngest child is in Kindergarten or 1st grade.

    • Entrance into the driveway is right turn only, exit is left turn only.

  • Car Line 2 if your youngest child is in 2nd grade or above.

    • Entrance into the driveway is left turn only, exit is right turn only.

• Car line rules:

  • Queue up behind cars in front of you.

  • Remain in a single line.

  • Do not pass the car in front of you.

  • Students exit the car on right hand side near staff and cones only.

Students Arriving by Walking:

Walkers will not be supervised or allowed into the building until 8:30 AM.

• Walkers arriving from the back of the building will use the sidewalk along the softball fields to come to the front. Please stay on the sidewalk and cross with the crossing guards.

• Walkers will line up at the flagpole in front of the building.

Students Taking the Bus:

• Will enter through the front entrance.

Students Dismissing by Car:

• Both car lines enter behind the school off of Sedgewick Ave. (See map below)

• Please use:

  • Car Line 1 if your youngest child is in Kindergarten or 1st grade.

    • Entrance into the driveway is right turn only, exit is left turn only.

  • Car Line 2 if your youngest child is in 2nd grade or above.

    • Entrance into the driveway is left turn only, exit is right turn only.

• Car line rules:

  • Make sure that your dashboard pick-up sign is clearly visible.

  • Queue up behind cars in front of you.

  • Remain in a single line.

  • Do not pass the car in front of you.

  • Students enter the car on right hand side near staff and cones only.

Please be patient. The car line moves quickly. All car line students should be picked up and off school grounds by 3:30 PM.

Students Dismissing by Walking:

• Walkers - please walk on the sidewalk and cross with the crossing guard

• Kindergarten walkers will be dismissed out of the cafeteria door on the side of the building. (See map below)

• 1st Grade walkers will be dismissed out of the music room door on the side of the building. (See map below)

• 2nd - 6th Grade walkers will be dismissed out of the main doors in the front of the building and will follow their teachers to the cone labeled by grade. (See map below)

Students Taking the Bus:

• All buses and vans will exit through the door by the library.
