5th Grade Audubon Visit: Experiential learning with nature makes complex science concepts more engaging and accessible by allowing students to explore real-world phenomena while applying math, literacy, and science skills. Connecticut Audubon Society’s Science in Nature programs offer hands-on, NGSS-aligned experiences for students that build critical thinking, modeling, and evidence-based reasoning in earth and life sciences, ecology, and conservation. | Trunk or Treat: THANK YOU to our PTA for organizing such a fun and well attended event! Our students looked great in their costumes and we appreciate the families that decorated their vehicles to make this event a success! |
This Week At Lordship School: Coaches from our HMH Into Reading ELA platform and our HILL for Literacy Science of Reading Program came (separately) to meet with our teachers, provide feedback, and offer support for instructional practices. Lordship School received positive feedback from each who spoke highly of the instructional practices and commitment to student success throughout the building. THANK YOU to Joelle Kilcourse, Megan Kimball, and Ashley DiIorio for hosting PowerSchool training sessions for parents during Conferences! We appreciate your availability and knowledge in helping families get connected to and navigate the PowerSchool platform. |
