This Week At Lordship School:
Self Management - Difficult Decisions & Managing Emotions Responsible Decision Making - Compromising with others |
Above are DESSA ratings for our student population. The DESSA rating system is important because it provides a reliable, research-based way to understand a child’s social-emotional strengths and needs. By focusing on skills like self-regulation, relationship building, and decision-making, it offers an asset-based view of students rather than emphasizing deficits. The data helps schools identify students who may need additional support, guide targeted SEL instruction, and align interventions with MTSS or IEP goals. Our staff will be targeting specific skills in their built in Social-Emotional Learning time, and some strategies and skills that you can use at home are linked below as well. |
