Thursday May 12th was Hope and Healing Day. To celebrate students in 2nd and 3rd grade painted kindness coins in art.
Last night, Tuesday May 10th was our first live in person Spring Concert in 2 years! Our chorus and band performed on Whitney campus for parents, families, and staff. It was a great event!
Thursday May 5th the Eli Whitney 2nd grade students held their annual Animal Expert Showcase. Students and teachers visited the classes to learn about various animals from these awesome experts. Today the students will be putting on round 2 of their expert showcase for parents and siblings!

JiJi's Birthday Celebration continues with more students trying to solve the puzzles she left behind!
Today is Jiji's 25th birthday. Students and staff are participating in a school wide celebration of her birthday. Our school has been "mathematized" by our Math Coach and students are tasked with completing Math puzzles. Students can pose for selfies with Jiji. Teachers also got into the fun by winning prizes for spotting hidden Jijis around the building. JiJi was also a special guest today at our SBAC pep rally. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIJI!

Wednesday, April 27th Eli Whitney students and families participated in an after school event to celebrate our One School One Book. Students did crafts, raffles were won, and the school also made a donation to the local animal shelter.
Thursday April 14th Eli Whitney students and staff celebrated Mr. Veteri day in honor of him receiving the CT PTA Vice Principal's award.

The town works department collaborated with the Eli Whitney PTSA to plant a red oak tree on campus in memory of the late Mr. Ed Fraser. Thank you to all involved in this project.

On Monday March 28th the Eli Whitney School community kicked off our first ever One Book, One School event. Our first book is Dog Days by Karen English. Mr. Veteri the Eli Whitney Vice Principal was just announced as the 2022 CT PTA Outstanding Elementary School Assistant Principal. Our whole school community is elated. The Eli Whitney community is so proud of this wonderful accolate for such a deserving person!
