We had a PACKED Open House last night as we kicked off the 24-25 school year welcoming back our families. It was great to see so many families, as well as our community partners who were present to assist in connecting us with opportunities in Stratford. #shlpride

This summer, SHL Alum and BHS Senior Travis Pushefski organized a book drive to support classroom libraries at SHL. He collected over 700 books as part of his work towards becoming an Eagle Scout. Thank you Travis for the great work you did to support our school!!! #gotogether

Today we closed the year in style with our final Whole School Huddle celebrating Flag Day! Our school was treated to a performance by members of our band of "America".
One of the best days of the year--our annual SENIOR WALK! Our SHL alums who are graduating from Bunnell and Stratford this year came by this morning to visit their old stomping grounds reconnect with their former teachers and staff, as well as younger siblings! #shlpride
Thank you to the Bunnell High School students and staff who facilitated an Egg Hunt last week for our Kindergarten students. Our Bulldogs in Training participants also got an opportunity to utilize some teamwork in a kickball game! #shlpride
An incredible assembly last week by "Surcari" allowed our students to explore the musical heritage of Latin America. Students were able to learn about different musical styles and instruments. Thank you to the PTO for sponsoring this awesome experience for SHL! #shlpride
Our "We Built This City" project was a hit. Thank you to the 3rd grade team, our specialists, and families for making this such a great experience for our students.
Our SHL Day of Code was a blast as we kicked off National Computer Science Week

Last night's SHL Spring Concert was incredible! We had over 200 family, friends, and staff in attendance to watch our 4-6 grade students in our orchestra, band, and chorus. Congrats to our students and thank you to Mr. Rehberg, Mr. Barnum, and Mr. Uschak! #shlpride
Our second graders had a great trip to Boothe Park today and learned some great history lessons! Thank you to the staff, parents, and Boothe Park volunteers who welcomed our students on their first field trip since 2020! #oneteam #shlpride
