The Bunnell CTE Technology and Video Production pathway recently had the opportunity to visit WTNH News 8 for an exciting behind-the-scenes tour of a working television news station.
During the visit, students learned how news is produced, explored the studio and control rooms, and gained valuable insight into careers in broadcast journalism, production, and media communications. A special thank you to veteran meteorologist Joe Furey and long-time anchor Ann Nyberg for sharing their experiences, answering student questions, and offering advice for those interested in pursuing careers in the field.
One of the highlights of the day was watching a live newscast in action and seeing Ann Nyberg work her magic on air while the production team coordinated everything behind the scenes.
We are grateful to the producers and staff at WTNH News 8 for their hospitality and for providing our students with a real-world learning experience that they can bring back to the classroom.
