Congratulations to Migda Carrero!

Congratulations to Migda Carrero!  Stratford Public Schools proudly celebrates Migda Carrero, Family Engagement Specialist, for being recognized for her passion, dedication, and leadership in advancing family engagement across our district.

Through her work with the Family and Community Engagement (F.A.C.E.) Office, Migda has helped strengthen meaningful partnerships between families, schools, and community organizations, ensuring that all families feel welcomed, valued, and connected as partners in their children's educational journey.

The recognition was presented at the Connecticut Family Schl Partnerships (CFSP) End-of-Year Celebration, hosted by Connecticut's Statewide Family Engagement Center (SFEC). The CFSP network supports districts across the state through professional learning, technical assistance, leadership development, and family engagement initiatives designed to improve student success through strong family-school-community partnerships.

We are especially proud to share that Stratford Public Schools was recognized as the only district in Connecticut with Action Team for Partnerships (ATP) Teams established in every school! These teams help schools build sustainable family-school-community partnerships through shared leadership, collaboration, and engagement activities that support student achievement and school improvement.

This accomplishment reflects the dedication of our administrators, teachers, staff, families, and community partners who have committed themselves to creating welcoming, inclusive school communities. Thank you to every school team that has worked to develop, sustain, and strengthen these partnerships.
