In the Science Department, a yearlong focus has been on increasing student-centered learning and hands-on activities to engage with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in a phenomena-based approach.
Additionally, teachers at both middle schools (Flood Middle School & Wooster Middle School), Stratford High school and Bunnell High School have engaged in regular opportunities for collaboration on task development as well as curriculum planning for future years. This partnership across schools will help teachers to further refine their skills through professional development and help students to access high-quality lessons and activities.
