Juntos (Together) Kindergarten Dual Language Program 2024-2025 currently located at Second Hill Lane. You can apply for the Dual Language program by checking on the box that says "Dual Language" when you complete the kindergarten registration. Juntos Virtual Information Night dates will be posted on the district website. Attendance is mandatory for your child to be eligible as well as full completion of your child's kindergarten registration to be considered for the lottery which will be held on April 3rd, 2024 @ 6:30 pm. Food Service Information - The Food Service will offer ELEMENTARY: Tuna Salad on 2/14, ASH WEDNESDAY, and every Friday after that from 2/16 thru 3/29; HIGH SCHOOLS - Cheese Pizza & MIDDLE SCHOOLS - Deli Sandwiches. (Tuna will also be available). THEN EVERY FRIDAY FROM 2/16 UNTIL 3/29, Tuna Salad and Fish Sandwiches will be available

Wilcoxson School - Happy 100th Day of School from Kindergarten and 1st Grade!

READING BUDDIES - Nichols School has started a fun new program. On the first Friday of each month, an upper-grade class will be paired with a younger class to read together. Students will build relationships with students in other classes and gain confidence as they practice their reading

BOOKS AS MIRRORS AND WINDOWS-Thanks to the leadership of our Reading Consultants, Mrs. Hausser and Mrs. Scheurich, the students at Nichols are getting the opportunity to engage with books that either mirror their experiences or offer them an opportunity to look through a window at what others are experiencing.

Food Pantry: CT Food Bank in partnership with the Stratford Health Department and the YMCA will distribute a variety of FREE fresh and nutritious food to individuals and families every other Monday. 2024 Pantry Dates: Feb. 5 & 19, Mar. 4 & 18, Apr. 1, 15 & 29, May 13, June 10 & 24. Location: Holy Name of Jesus Church-1950 Barnum Avenue, Stratford, CT (College St. Parking Lot). Distribution Time: 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Don't Forget to bring your reusable bag, park your car on College Street, and make a line as directed in the parking lot. One bag per household.

Thursday, February 1, 2024, launches Black History Month, a time when everyone comes together to pay tribute to the generations of African Americans who struggled with adversity and have achieved many great things in our nation.

Elementary Menu Changes for February 2024: Feb. 1- Meatball Sub, Antipasta Salad, Pretzel/Stackables Box; Feb. 22- Baked Fried Dough with Sauce & Cheese, Tossed Salad, Bagel/Yogurt Meal, American Deli Combo; Feb.29- Chicken Tenders w/Oven Fries, Pretzel/Yogurt Meal, Turkey & Cheese Sandwich.

DECA students from Bunnell visited Eli Whitney school and taught all students about financial literacy. Students counted money and learned about savings among other things. A big thank you to all the students who took part in this event it was awesome!
