Congratulations to the SHS Drama Society! Our talented casts and crews of "Arsenic and Old Lace" and "NEWSIES" have been nominated for 11 HALO awards -- think of "Broadway's Tony Awards" -- only for high school productions. These are in effect our "SWCs..." Next Tuesday, May 27th, the NEWSIES cast will perform a musical number at the actual awards night event, at the Palace Theater in Waterbury.

Franklin Visual Arts Night! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our amazing Visual Arts Night! The gym was full of joyful energy as students and families explored a variety of hands-on activities—from painting and photography to rock decorating and beading.
A big thank-you to Mr. M for organizing such a fun and thoughtful event. From the warm welcome and raffle gifts to the local artists who joined us, every detail made the evening feel special. It was wonderful to see so many families and staff connecting and creating together.
We’re grateful to be building such meaningful traditions with our Franklin community!

Summer School Announced - Summer School is announced for all Bunnell and Stratford High School students. Summer School runs from Monday, June 16th through Monday, June 30th. No classes are held on Thursday, June 19th. All classes will be held at Stratford High School.

Chapel Families, all grades 3-6 students will participate in the Smarter Balanced State Assessment over the next few weeks. Chapel's testing schedule was created to spread testing sessions out, providing students ample opportunity to complete each section while limiting the amount of time they are testing each day. There is a math section of the test that consists of 2 parts. A reading section and a science section ONLY for students in grade 5. For each section of the test, students in grades 3 and 5 will test from 9:15-10:15 AM, and students in grades 4 and 6 will test from 10:20-11:20 AM each day.
