Social Studies

Mission of the Bunnell High School Social Studies Department

The Social Studies Department strives to prepare our students for active involvement in our increasingly connected global society. We help them gain the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfill their future roles as responsible citizens. We focus on fostering a learning atmosphere that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and exploration. By adopting a student-centered and inquiry-based approach, we aim to nurture empathy and encourage well-informed citizenship, empowering students to contribute positively to our diverse and interconnected world.

Students attending social studies classes at Bunnell High School can expect to engage in learning through inquiries. This involves formulating investigative queries, gaining knowledge, evaluating sources, and communicating well-supported conclusions effectively.
