A Message from the Director

Welcome to Pupil Services! An integral part of our school district is providing all students an appropriate education through a continuum of services to address their educational needs. The Department of Pupil Personnel Services provides families the opportunity to partner with educators and other professionals in the development and implementation of services for students. Parents and/or guardians are encouraged to be involved and advocate for their student’s to support social, emotional, and academic student growth.

The primary goal of the Department of PPS is to provide consultation, support, and services in an effort to meet academic, social, and behavioral needs. Special education services are provided if a child has been identified as having a disability, as defined by Federal and/or State guidelines, and the disability impacts the student’s ability to access the general education curriculum. An Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is developed by the planning and placement team, for each student identified as requiring special education services.

Stratford Public Schools provide a continuum of services to address student needs in their least restrictive environment.  For further information, please contact your student’s school or the PPS Department at (203) 385-4225
