Students at Stratford high School have an opportunity to join Health Occupations Students of America, better known as HOSA for $30 membership fee. This is a local, state, and national organization for students who plan to pursue a career in health care. HOSA members work closely with the Youth Health Service Corps of Southwestern AHEC (Area Health Education Center), providing students with high quality service learning projects that address community health care needs.
The purpose of HOSA is to provide opportunities for well informed career choices as well as to develop character and leadership skills through various educational and community service activities. Each year students take part in leadership conferences along with competitive events involving HOSA students from other chapters around the state.
